Coffee!
So before starting school this September I was just sitting at home all day. Sleeping till noon, gaming till 4 in the morning, you know the drill. When school started it was a huge change for me but I can cope with it so far, as hard as it may be to get out of bed on time in the morning (I’ve had a few close calls though). The only thing I hate about this long ass day rythm is that, by noon, I’m usually dead tired and barely able to keep my eyes open. It makes me understand why people drink the vile liquid from hell we call coffee.
I can’t stand coffee, it tastes horrible and you won’t ever see me drinking coffee because I felt like drinking it. But if you’re ready to just fall asleep at school, sitting behind a computer with internet access, during lunch time, with no teachers around to see what you’re doing… something’s seriously wrong. Yet it happened to me this afternoon! I was nodded off from time to time before I made the fatal mistake of leaning back in my chair and closing my eyes. I dunno how much time passed, but I woke up to a teacher telling me ‘not to fall asleep now’. Falling asleep at school, how much does that suck? And during lunch time!
But there’s something even worse then falling asleep at school during lunch, and that is falling asleep after school at home, after dinner. I can not describe how much it sucks to fall asleep at 5:30 after dinner and waking up 4 hours later on the couch! Bye free time. Not only do you have to go back to bed in less then two hours, you also know you won’t be able to sleep untill early morning because you just slept, meaning you’ll be even more tired the next morning, meaning you’ll be even more tired during lunch, meaning you’ll be in a coma by the time you’re done with dinner!
Hence the title of this post: Coffee! Can’t live with it, can’t live without it.
Teacher of teh awsome!
Those of you with a vivid memory might recall how I claimed I had an awsome English teacher. Well today she reinforced that claim by completely turning around today’s class. Instead of doing boring old assignments over and over (like we do in Dutch class… meh…) she decided we got to chase our good electrics teacher to the courtyard and give him a cross examination in English. It was pretty hilarious, some of our teachers are just total whackjobs. In fact, most of them are now that I think about it. Everyone except our English teacher who is the best teacher in the whole world… (what? I gave her the link to this place…)
After our cross examination we got back to class, expecting we were going to duck into the books afterall. But apparently, if we try to have some fun by randomly throwing out other ideas, she actually approves some of them. So when we randomly suggested watching a movie, she agreed and minutes later we were watching 21. And not only that. When we also randomly suggested bringing an Xbox 360 and Guitar Hero, she agreed to that too! Do teachers get any more awsome then this? I don’t think so.
